Ndoto Zetu, Uwezo Wetu initiative

We are thrilled to share an update on the impactful “Ndoto Zetu, Uwezo Wetu” initiative, a collaborative effort between Amani Gold Organisation, Safaricom Foundation, and the wider community. This program, which translates to “Our Dreams, Our Ability,” is a testament to the power of partnership in fostering positive change across Kenya. The Ndoto Zetu initiative by Safaricom Foundation aims to support community-led projects that address key societal challenges, empowering individuals and groups to realize their full potential.

In line with this commitment, Amani Gold Organisation, in conjunction with Safaricom Foundation and under the “Ndoto Zetu” initiative, recently donated white canes to Kilimani School for the Blind. Located in Nairobi, Kilimani School for the Blind is a vital institution dedicated to providing comprehensive education and support to visually impaired students. The school focuses not only on academic excellence but also on developing essential life skills, promoting independence, and integrating students into society.

This donation of white canes is a crucial step in enhancing the mobility and independence of the students at Kilimani School for the Blind. White canes are indispensable tools that allow visually impaired individuals to navigate their environment safely and confidently, fostering greater autonomy and participation in daily activities. This initiative aligns with Amani Gold’s mission to motivate our target groups to tap into their God-given skills, talents, and abilities, and our strategic goal of improved access to social amenities and enhanced physical activity.

Amani Gold Organisation is proud to be at the forefront of such impactful initiatives. Our commitment to community development goes hand in hand with our core values, which include Equity, Integrity, Innovation & Research, Professionalism, and Teamwork. We continuously strive to create lasting positive change. This collaboration with Safaricom Foundation and the “Ndoto Zetu” initiative exemplifies our dedication to empowering vulnerable communities, particularly persons with disabilities, youth, and women, and ensuring that every individual has the opportunity to thrive. This effort also supports Amani Gold’s programs focusing on accessible devices and technology, and advocacy and lobbying to promote and uphold the rights of persons with disability and ensure inclusiveness and accessibility. We extend our sincere gratitude to Safaricom Foundation and all involved in the “Ndoto Zetu” program for their shared vision and commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of many.
