Celebrating Impact: Jecinta Nyambura Nyathira Honoured with Social Entrepreneurship & Impact Award

Amani Gold is proud to celebrate a significant milestone in the journey of our Founder and Executive Director, Ms. Jecinta Nyambura Nyathira, who was honoured with the Social Entrepreneurship & Impact Award at the 2nd Annual International Scholar Media Africa Conference and SMEGAfrica Excellence Awards 2026.

The three-day conference and awards ceremony took place from 5th to 7th August 2026 at Safari Park Hotel, Nairobi, Kenya, under the theme:

“Reimagining Africa: Empowering Minds, Igniting Innovation, Driving Inclusive Growth.

This recognition is a powerful celebration of Jecinta’s leadership and the impact of the work she continues to champion through Amani Gold.

As Founder and Executive Director, Jecinta has continued to create opportunities for women, youth, and persons with disabilities, while advancing mentorship, talent development, leadership, peacebuilding, advocacy, inclusion, and community empowerment.

Her recognition is therefore more than a personal achievement. It reflects the vision and impact of Amani Gold and the many initiatives aimed at giving communities opportunities to participate, grow, and realise their potential.

The recognition also comes at an important moment for Amani Gold, following the successful inaugural Amani Gold Festival in Kwale, which provided young people with a platform to showcase their talents in music, singing, traditional dance, poetry, modelling, and other creative activities.

From creating opportunities for young talents to receiving recognition on an international platform, the journey reflects a simple but powerful belief: impact begins when people are given an opportunity to be seen, heard, empowered, and supported.

We also appreciate Scholar Media Africa, an African media and knowledge platform that provides a space for highlighting impactful stories, ideas, and initiatives across the continent.

This recognition opens an exciting opportunity for Amani Gold to explore future partnerships and collaborations with Scholar Media Africa, particularly around youth empowerment, talent development, inclusive leadership, mentorship, storytelling, and amplifying impactful community initiatives.
