Unleashing potentials, transforming lives.

Born from a shared vision in 2019, Amani Gold was co-founded by the inspiring trio of Jacinta Nyambura, Dennis Karanja (also known as Dennomusic), and Taphroza Simiyu. Their collective passion ignited an organization dedicated to illuminating paths of opportunity and fostering profound change within Kenyan communities.
At its heart, Amani Gold is a non-profit community-based organization steadfast in its mission to craft sustainable solutions to critical challenges that too often hinder the social and economic flourishing of women, youth, and persons with disabilities in Kenyan communities. From the pervasive shadows of discrimination that exclude persons with disabilities from vital avenues of interaction and advancement, to the silent struggles of youth grappling with mental health, peer influence, exposure to extreme digital content, depression, and unemployment, and the alarming rise of gender-based violence and femicide against women and girls – Amani Gold stands as a powerful advocate. We exist to unlock inherent gifts and ensure equitable access to opportunities for self and societal development.

Our Vision

To see peaceful, inclusive, and just communities, truly responsive to the diverse needs of youth, women, and persons with disabilities.

Our Mission:

To ignite the spark within our target groups, motivating them to harness their God-given skills, talents, and abilities.

Amani Gold's

Strategic Goals

Amani Gold boldly challenges the misconception that persons with disabilities cannot work or compete fairly, or consolidate to champion for matters of their common interest. We envision a future where:

Creativity and innovation flourish through enhanced physical activity.
Youth and persons with disabilities gain invaluable insights through mentorship programs in schools and communities.
Social amenities, from malls to transport, become truly accessible for all.
Positive civic duty is not just an idea, but an empowered action.
Mental health and sexual reproductive health are openly discussed and promoted among target groups.
Peaceful communities, free from the pressures of crime and negative peer influence, are built and inspired.
Competence-based learning is enhanced.
Values essential for navigating the complexities of the 21st century are deeply instilled for the Target group.

Transforming Lives Through Dynamic Programs:
Amani Gold’s impact ripples through a diverse array of programs designed to create tangible change:
* Peacebuilding through Sports and Arts: Fostering collaboration across social sectors, promoting character and leadership development, civic responsibility (redefining patriotism and reinvigorating the interest of young people, especially millennials and Gen Z, to take part on matters of national interest), and building social cohesion and trust within communities through dialogue.
* Accessible Devices and Technology: Championing the removal of accessibility barriers and advocating for seamless mobility and navigation across services for persons with disabilities.
* Mental Health: Providing vital psychosocial support, rehabilitation programs, and home visits to help youth, including those with disabilities, address adverse psychological issues like depression, alcohol and substance abuse, and suicide.
* Youth Leadership & Empowerment: Nurturing the next generation of dynamic advocates, managers, and holistic solution providers by mentoring, guiding, and training youth to analyze strengths and weaknesses, set personal and professional goals, and build self-esteem, confidence, motivation, and abilities. This includes School Mentorship programs, Peer to Peer Education, and Community engagement programs such as the Light Mentorship arts and Sports programs.
* Advocacy & Lobbying: Vigorously promoting and upholding the rights of persons with disability, empowering them to make decisions affecting their lives, honoring their lived experiences, identifying and addressing barriers to inclusiveness and accessibility, and preventing discrimination by educating others about the rights of people with disability.
* Environmental Conservation: Ensuring the crucial involvement of persons with disabilities in efforts to mitigate global warming effects and climate-related disasters such as droughts and floods.
* Gender Based Violence: Protecting the fundamental rights of women and girls, providing access to education, counselling, and legal representation in cases of gross violation of individual rights. This also includes initiatives to address period shame and promote menstrual hygiene for girls.
* Slum Upgrading & Empowerment Program: Aspiring to elevate access of top-notch mentorship services for target groups in slum areas.
* Community Outreach & Support: Visiting children’s centers, homes, and orphanages to provide support, mentorship, and a sense of community to vulnerable children.
Amani Gold is more than an organization; it’s a movement towards a future where every individual, regardless of their circumstances, can thrive.
